We currently offer virtual workshop sessions and limited field trips based on safety precautions. We look forward to providing more in-person events in the Washington Metropolitan area when the pandemic subsides.
Entrepreneurship Workshops
Entrepreneurship Workshops
Owning and operating your own business is provides an opportunity to be gainfully employed and have a measure of control over your destiny. Our entrepreneurship program is designed to assist the differently able person who interested in starting and growing a business.
Resources and information are provided by experienced entrepreneurs including persons who are differently able, small business advisors, and legal advisors. Finally, participants are provided the guidance to write their business plan.
Skill Assessment
Skill Assessment
The starting point for developing a business is knowing your strengths, weaknesses, and interests. We administer interest inventories, interviews, and skill assessments to help our participants and their families better determine what direction they want to take in life. Assessments help determine the type of business and social activities most appropriate.
Life Coaching
Life Coaching
Life coaching is designed to help our differently able participants maximize their full potential. We offer individual and group coaching, providing encouragement and support while holding them accountable to their dreams and goals. Coaching assists in overcoming fears and perceived limitations.
Community Engagement
Community Engagement
Compassionate companionship can assist learning and foster self-esteem for the differently able person. Self-esteem is impacted by an individual's social success based upon the quality and quantity of social interactions in the home, school, and community settings.
We provide access to activities such as community events, bowling, movies, theme parks and more. Our community engagement offers support through volunteers from local high schools and the community. Volunteers are vetted and trained.
